Here are some great resources you can keep on hand.

  • Print out “The Stop Technique” visual.  Post it in your classroom as a reminder to “respond” instead of “react” in the moment.  Print and cut the flash cards and place them as reminders throughout your day – on a mirror, in your planner, etc.

Remember, learning to stop and respond in the moment takes practice.  Keep at it and it will become second nature!
