Children’s Book Week

REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.

Thank you so much for your interest in DIEEC’s Children’s Book Week celebration. We have reached our capacity for guest reader visits, but we’re excited to share a NEW way to celebrate with us! It’s quick and easy:

Share Your Favorite Read-Aloud with DIEEC!

Eligibility:

Contributors must be employed at a licensed early care and education program, in good standing, to participate. If you had a guest reader visit your program, you are not eligible for the additional book. You may, however, submit your favorite read-aloud.

Limitations:

Programs that are hosting a DIEEC guest reader are welcome to submit book titles and will be included in our list of favorite read-alouds, but they will not receive an additional book.

Multiple educators from a single program may each submit titles for inclusion in the list of favorite read-alouds, but each program will only receive one book.

Join DIEEC for Children’s Book Week, one of the nation’s oldest and most beloved literacy initiatives. From November 3rd to 7th, 2025, we invite you to join us in exploring this year’s theme: An Ocean of Stories, which celebrates the vast, collective ocean populated by the stories we read, share, and tell.

As part of our celebration, DIEEC sends guest readers to early childhood education programs across Delaware. Our guest readers share stories with the children and donate books to the programs they visit.
